Now if you’re looking for some food inspiration, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite recipes, to help you celebrate the Queen’s unprecedented anniversary, French style.  

Crunchy Vegetables with Sauce Gribiche 

Start light with crudités sticks, a typical French snack that’s just perfect for warmer months. The sharp sauce gribiche - with eggs, capers and anchovies - makes the punchiest dip for crunchy raw vegetables, like little pink radishes, cauliflower florets or carrot sticks. Enjoy with a chilled glass of French rosé wine

    Courgette Fritters with Spiced Honey Yoghurt Sauce 

    Yes these courgette fritters do require a little bit of work, but they make a perfect bite-sized starter for your guests. The grated Cantal PDO cheese gives them a welcome buttery texture, and they’re delicious dipped into the honey and yoghurt sauce with warm notes from the garam masala.

    Celebration Sponge Cake with Dark Chocolate and Red Berries 

    Let’s not forget the ultimate celebration cake! You can either go for the traditional Victoria sponge cake with fluffy whipped creme fraiche, but we have our eyes on this decadent sponge cake with a French rich dark chocolate ganache and fresh red berries.
