Where to feast on cheese that’ll make your heart melt in London

By Valentine Benoist

Yes, it’s getting cold, dark and rainy. But don’t let the weather set the mood! The French have long found the best remedy to get through this time of year: turns out melted cheese has incredibly comforting properties. Here are a few of our favourite cures in London.

Chez Antoinette: a cheesy croque

If you’re not yet familiar with the French croque, let Antoinette introduce you two: in its croque monsieur traditional version, your melted cheese and ham gently sit between two generous slices of toasted sourdough. Brunch it up with an extra sunny-side-up egg on top to make it a croque madame, or go veggie with the mushroom-filled croque forestier — both just as cheesy. And if it’s not enough, add in a whole baked camembert.

If you feel like staying in, collect or get a delivery from Slerp.
