French BLT-style Sandwich with Jambon de Bayonne, Brie, and Moutarde de Bourgogne

  • 2 slices
  • Bayonne Ham
    Bayonne Ham PGI
  • 3 slices
  • PGI Burgundy mustard
    Burgundy Mustard PGI
  • 2 tbsp (optional, for toasting the bread)

Toast the Bread (Optional): 

If you prefer your sandwich toasted, spread a thin layer of unsalted butter on one side of each slice of bread. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the bread slices, buttered side down, in the skillet. Toast until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Spread Moutarde de Bourgogne evenly on one side of each slice of bread.

Layer the Jambon de Bayonne on one slice of bread.

Add the slices of Brie cheese on top of the ham.

Place the fresh lettuce leaves on top of the Brie. Top with the other slice of bread, mustard side down.

Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately. Bon appétit !
