Personal data policy

The collection and processing of “Personal Data” (as defined by the texts referred to below) from the www.tastefrance.com website, is carried out in application of the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) and the French Data Privacy Law (Law No. 78-17 on IT and Civil Liberties of January 6, 1978).

 

Data controller

For the purposes of these texts, Hopscotch Season (Hopscotch Network SAS) process the personal data of users of the www.tastefrance.com site in the context of a Public Service Delegation entrusted by the French Ministry of Agriculture.

Therefore, along with the French Ministry of Agriculture, located at 78, rue de Varenne - 75349 Paris 07 SP and Hopscotch Season (Hopscotch Network SAS), a limited liability company registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Registry under number 1961B02646, Siren 775 670 110, whose head office is located at 25 rue Notre Dame des Victoires 75002 Paris, France, both are “joint controllers” of the personal data of users of the www.tastefrance.com site.

 

Purposes for collection and legal basis for processing of your personal data

Users’ personal data are collected and processed based on the purposes specified for each case for collection and in compliance with the legal basis in the table below. Any use of personal data for any purpose other than those specified above will require your express prior consent.

 

For the purpose of sending the latest news from Taste France Magazine to the users of the site in the format of a newsletter, the data collected will only be the users' email address, following their express consent given at the time of collection and subscription to the newsletter.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years of age. We do not target products or services to children under 13 years old.

 

Access to personal data

The following parties may have access to the personal data collected, within the limits of their remit:

  • persons in charge of the communication / public affairs department,
  • administrative services, IT departments and their line managers
  • subcontractors, as part of a subcontracting agreement, including non-disclosure and security requirements.

 

Sharing of personal data and international transfers

Hopscotch Season (Hopscotch Network SAS) is a multinational company whose commercial processes, administrative structures and technical systems cross national and European borders as part of the public service delegation that it carries out in France and abroad. Hopscotch Season is also an affiliate of the Hopscotch group. The personal data collected is therefore likely to be consulted and used outside the European Union, within the group that Hopscotch Season belongs, in compliance with the rules on non-disclosure and security applicable to the group.

The personal data collected are used by Hopscotch Season and  the group to which it belongs and will not under no circumstances be transferred or sold to third parties outside the group without your express prior consent.

In the context of a public service delegation entrusted by the French Ministry of Agriculture to Hopscotch Season, in the end of the public contract between the before mentioned parties, the data shall be transferred to the French Ministry of Agriculture.

 

Disclosure for judicial and legal purposes

Personal data may be disclosed to a third party if the French Ministry of Agriculture and / or Hopscotch Season is or are required by law, regulatory provision or court order, or if such disclosure is rendered necessary for the needs of an investigation, injunction or legal proceeding, in France or abroad.

Personal data may be disclosed to companies, councils or third parties so that the French Ministry of Agriculture and / or Hopscotch Season may protect itself against any infringement of the rights, property or security of the French Ministry of Agriculture and / or Hopscotch Season.

 

Personal data retention period

User data will not be retained beyond the time strictly necessary for the purposes stated herein and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. In this respect, the data used for newsletter subscription purposes may be kept for a maximum of 2 years from the time the user unsubscribes. User data is deleted when the retention periods expire.  .

You can withdraw your consent at any time via the link in the emails you receive. Following withdrawal of your consent, your data are kept for the minimum period necessary to complete the technical measures required for their deletion.

 

Security of personal data

Security measures are implemented to protect personal data from any unauthorized access and any disclosure, modification, damage or destruction. In the event that a security breach is detected, required actions will be taken.

Personal data is stored on servers located in the European Union.

 

Your Rights

Individuals whose personal data have been collected have the following rights:

  • the right to access (to know what data the French Ministry of Agriculture and Hopscotch Season have)
  • the right to correct (to update or correct their data)
  • the right to delete personal data, as per Article 17 of the GDPR
  • the right to limit processing, as per Article 18 of the GDPR
  • the right to data portability
  • the right to oppose the collection of any or all of these data

These rights enable you to change your notification preferences at any time by accepting or refusing to have your Personal Data used as part of information campaigns.
