Baked stuffed apples

These baked and stuffed apples are a comforting and naturally sweet recipe, perfect for Ramadan. Preparation

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C (fan-assisted oven).

Wash the apples, remove the cores, but leave the bottoms intact.

In a bowl, mix the crushed nuts, chopped dates, oat flakes, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Add the melted butter and honey, and mix.

Stuff each apple with the mixture and gently press to make it compact.

Place the stuffed apples in an ovenproof dish, previously greased with butter.

Bake for 30 minutes, until the apple is tender.

Serve each hot apple with a ball of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of pine honey.
