Brioche French Toast with salted butter caramel sauce

The brioche french toast is a must! Smooth and tasty, it can be served for breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea and even dessert. 
With salted butter caramel, it is even more delicious.

Prepare the caramel sauce : 
Melt the sugar in a saucepan on a low heat without stirring. Add the half-salted butter and mix with a wooden spoon until the mixture thickens. Add the cream and stir constantly. Leave the caramel to cool.  

Cut the brioche into four thick slices.  
Break the eggs into a mixing bowl and add the milk. Slice the vanilla pod in two lengthwise and remove the seeds with the end of a knife. Add to the mixing bowl and whisk together.  

Lay the slices of brioche in the mixture. Leave to soak for 5 minutes and then turn. 

Melt the butter in a pan. Fry the slices of Brioche French Toast for two minutes on each side as you sprinkle them with brown sugar.  
Serve the Brioche French Toast hot with caramel sauce and a sprinkling of red fruit. Bon appétit!
